Adieu False Heart, Meghan Geliza

My beautiful Cleo Barnett invited Trendstreet to the first solo exhibition of talented local artist, Meghan Geliza. It was a real pleasure to get the opportunity to better familiarise myself with New Zealand’s talented arts community and we’re very glad to be able to share with you our impressions. If there is a single word that could describe this event then that word would be – harmony. It felt as if everything: the art, the music and the people, came together to create an atmosphere of artistic unity and one could smell the creativity in the air. Of course, it may have just been the several glasses of delicious punch that I had throughout the night. Either way, Meghan’s bright surrealistic paintings, the bohemian crowd and the mesmerising burlesque performance that rounded out the night all lent themselves to a very cozy and artistic evening on K’rd. We want to say thank you to the talented girls that made this event happen and to specifically congratulate Meghan, who managed to sell three of her works. You can check out more of Meghan Geliza work on her website
